Man wounded by teenagers on bikes

A man in his 20s was seriously injured during a row with two teenagers riding bikes in Suffolk.

Police said the victim was standing on Hawthorn Drive in Ipswich on Saturday night when words were exchanged with the two offenders.

The man was then assaulted by the teenagers with an unknown object, which wounded him on both sides of his body and left him with bruises to his face.

He is said to be in a serious but stable condition in Ipswich Hospital.

A police spokeswoman said the attackers were described as a white male and a black male, both about 16 years old and riding bicycles.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
