Suffolk Punch horses have been at Hollesley for at least 250 years

A £250,000 grant has been awarded to an organisation aiming to safeguard the Suffolk Punch breed of horse.
The Waste Recycling Group grant means the Suffolk Punch Trust is now £130,000 short of its £700,000 target needed to build an education and heritage centre.
The Trust bought 27 Suffolk Punch horses, buildings, equipment and 180 acres of land at Hollesley Bay in 2006 to secure the future of Colony Stud.
Suffolk Punch horses have been at Hollesley for more than 250 years.
The Trust said it was confident the shortfall could be found.
Construction of the centre and other refurbishment works is due to start in the spring with an opening planned for September.
