Train locked during disturbance

Hundreds of commuters were locked on a train during what police called a drunken disturbance.

Officers were called to Ipswich station following reports of trouble on the 1700 GMT service from Liverpool Street to Norwich.

When the train arrived at the station, British Transport Police (BTP) boarded the train and arrested a woman.

A BTP spokesperson said the woman was in custody in Ipswich having been arrested for a public order offence.
