Man dies after being hit by car

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian died when he was struck by a car in Suffolk.

Emergency services were called to Kings Hill, Great Cornard, near Sudbury, where Richard Cook, 56, was involved in a collision with a Ford fiesta.

Mr Cook, from Pot Kiln Road in Great Cornard, was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident took place on Monday evening.

Suffolk police are urging any witnesses to contact them with information.
