Car crash brings down power lines

A collision between two cars in Suffolk has brought down power lines, with drivers being asked to avoid the area.

The crash happened on Field Road in Mildenhall in the morning.

A Vauxhall Vectra and a Peugeot 206, which ended up on its roof and had to be righted by firefighters, collided and an electricity pole was damaged.

Engineers from EDF were at the scene repairing the damage but police have warned the road may be closed all day, so diversions were in place.
