There is some doubt whether the school will be rebuilt

Demolition work has started on a school destroyed by fire in Suffolk.

At the height of the fire on Tuesday 5 August at St Felix Middle School in Newmarket about 55 firefighters fought the blaze.

The 35-year-old building and contents were destroyed in the fire. Demolition work has now started on the building.

The pupils will be moved to a number of different schools for the start of the new term. A 14-year-old has been charged with arson.
