Woman faces murder attempt charge

A 28-year-old woman has appeared in court charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife.

Sarah-Jane Smith is accused of attacking a man in Kingsbury Walk, Great Cornard, near Sudbury, in Suffolk, on Monday night.

The 27-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment to a wound to his body.

Ms Smith, of Kingsbury Walk, Great Cornard, was remanded in custody by Sudbury magistrates to appear before Ipswich Crown Court on 3 July.
