Council calling for bra donations

Women residents have been asked by a local council in Suffolk to give up unwanted bras to a recycling scheme.

Forest Heath District Council is asking the women to join the scheme called Recycle One More Thing.

Libraries in Newmarket, Mildenhall, Lakenheath and Brandon will accept the donated bras or they can be dropped off at the council's Dome Leisure Centre.

The old bras, which will be accepted till the end of June, are being sent to West Africa for reuse or recycling.

The contractor collecting the bras is paying 1 per kilo which will be donated to MacMillan cancer support.
