WI apologise for union jack error
Union Jack
Dorothy Lodge said she was left "shamefaced" by the error
The editor of a Women's Institute (WI) newsletter has apologised after printing a union jack flag upside down.

Dorothy Lodge, of the Suffolk West Federation of the WI, said she was left "shamefaced" by the error.

Mrs Lodge said: "The mistake was spotted instantly by the members and I apologised. I was shamefaced because I should have spotted it immediately."

An upside down union jack is seen as a distress signal but Mrs Lodge said this was not the intended message.
