Mother in missing prostitute plea
Tanya Nicol
Miss Nicol planned to take a bus into Ipswich
A mother has made an appeal for information about her 19-year-old daughter who has been missing for more than a week.

Tania Nicol, who works as a prostitute, left her home in Wolverstone Close, Ipswich, on the night of 30 October to work in the town.

Her mother Kerry Nicol said she had not heard from Tania since.

"This is unusual. Tania usually makes contact with me to let me know she is with friends and okay," she said.

Associates

Det Ch Insp John Quinton said: "We are extremely concerned for Tania's welfare because of her lifestyle and the fact that she is known to work as a prostitute.

"We are also interested in any previous or current associates with whom she had regular contact and who may have an idea of where she might be.

"We need to find her to be sure that she is safe and well."

Miss Nicol is of mixed race, 5ft 2ins, with a spotty complexion.

When her mother last saw her she was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and high-heeled shoes.

Suffolk Police said Miss Nicol planned to take the bus into the town and they want to speak to anyone who got onto a green Ipswich Borough Council bus at Belmont Road.
