Three people killed in car crash
Three people have been killed and five others seriously injured in a car crash in Suffolk early on Saturday morning.

A Renault Laguna, carrying two men and a woman, was in a crash with a Vauxhall Astra, carrying four women and a man.

One man in the Laguna and two women from the Astra were pronounced dead at the scene on the A12 at Blythburgh, police said.

The remaining occupants were taken to hospital, with one woman said to be in a critical condition.

The occupants of both cars are all believed to be aged in their late teens or 20s.

A police spokesman said an investigation into the crash is under way and appealed for witnesses to come forward.
