Four-day combat training begins
A four-day exercise to prepare troops for deployment to a war zone begins on Monday at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk.

The US air force 48th Fighter Wing will be involved in the training known as Operation Readiness.

A force spokesman said it was unlikely to cause too much disruption to the local community but there could be some delays at base services.

Operation Readiness will include mock deployments and emergency response training.
