Cash for road improvement project
Road improvements costing nearly £1m are to be carried out across Suffolk.

They include changes to car parks in Lowestoft, Kessingland and Halesworth, and £75,000 to look at plans for a park and ride scheme in Bury St Edmunds.

Suffolk County Council has also approved £200,000 for variable message signs about the town's car parks.

In Ipswich, £250,000 will be spent on the free shuttle bus to and from the railway station and on improving roads and signs in the town.

Some £144,000 will go on improving the Belvedere Road car park and its cycleway to the Clifton Road car park.

Halesworth will see improvements at the Post Office and Angel Lane car parks.

Woodbridge's railway station and Turban centre car parks will get £150,000.
