New line in hunt for 1993 killer
Karen Hales
Karen Hales was stabbed and her body set on fire
A fresh development is expected to be announced on Monday by police still trying to find the killer of a 21-year-old mother 12 years ago.

Karen Hales was murdered in front of her daughter in their home in Lavenham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk in 1993.

She had been stabbed and her body set alight, sparking one of the biggest murder hunts in Suffolk Police history.

Despite 1,400 lines of inquiry and a Crimewatch appeal earlier this month Ms Hales' murder remains unsolved.
