Cliffs under threat near Bawdsey Martello Tower

A famous Suffolk landmark could be relocated because it is in danger of falling into the sea.
The Martello tower at Bawdsey is now only 10m (10.9yd) from the cliff edge which is rapidly receding.
But moving the building, which was constructed to keep out Napoleon, could cost more than £2m.
Local people say the tower should remain on its historical site and want money spent on sea defences instead.
The Environment Agency is considering whether a study should be carried out into saving the Bawdsey Tower.
Peter Monk, spokesman for the Bawdsey campaigners, said: "If they have the money to save the tower, give it to us and we'll use it to build stronger sea defences.
"Not only will they have the tower staying on its historic site but it will delight the local community."
The Environment Agency said moving the tower was a last resort, but it may carry out an assessment to see if it is worth saving.
