Carriageway alongside A14 opens
The next stage of work to improve a notorious accident blackspot on one of Suffolk's main roads is due to begin.

A temporary carriageway alongside the A14 at the Rookery Crossroads near Bury St Edmunds will open on Sunday.

The carriageway is to allow for the construction of a new underpass at Two Mile Spinney which will be used by pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians.

Through traffic should not be affected but there will be no right turn to Blackthorpe, the Highways Agency said.
