Opposition to ski centre growing
Quarry at Great Blakenham
The quarry could become a massive employment opportunity
Opposition is growing to plans for an ambitious £300m Snoasis winter sports venue at a Suffolk quarry.

Villagers at Sproughton, worried about traffic congestion and pollution packed a meeting on Tuesday night to voice their concerns.

A team from the project for Snoasis at Great Blakenham said they expect an increase of about 600 cars a day along Sproughton High Street.

Locals claim that this road is already congested and could become dangerous.

They are also calling for improvements to the A14 Copdock Mill interchange to stop cars using the village as a short cut.
