Three teenage girls needed medical attention for the affects of gas after raiders struck at the hotel where they were staying during a school trip.
The pupils went to Great Cornard Upper School in Suffolk
The robbers released a gas in the lobby of the hotel in Villepinte, near Paris, France, last Thursday.
The gas drifted through the hotel, affecting a school party from Great Cornard Upper School, Suffolk.
A Suffolk County Council spokeswoman said more than 50 children were staying at the hotel. None was seriously hurt.
"The children were on the third floor and there was some kind of raid on the
ground floor during which some kind of gas was released," the spokeswoman
"Three complained that they were suffering from the effects of the gas and were checked over by paramedics but no-one needed any treatment.
"The children did not witness any of the robbery or anything like that."
She said the school was keeping in contact with the French police to monitor the investigation.
It is thought the robbers were teenagers who were attempting to steal luggage from tourists.
