Postbox not cleared for two weeks
The Royal Mail has apologised to customers in a Suffolk village where the postbox was not emptied for more than two weeks.

The last collection at the box in Saxstead near Framlingham was on 15 December before it was emptied on 2 January.

About 250 items had piled up in the box.

A Royal Mail spokesman said that following a thorough investigation, measures would be taken to ensure that there was no repeat of the failure.
