Coast search finds human torso
Officers investigating the discovery of a decomposed leg which washed up on a Suffolk beach have also found part of a human torso.

The limb was found by a man fishing on the beach at Slaughden Quay, near Aldeburgh, at about 0730 GMT on Tuesday.

On Tuesday afternoon Suffolk Police announced they had found part of a decomposed torso two and a half miles south of Slaughden Quay.

Officers, including the force helicopter, have been scouring the Suffolk coastline since the original find was reported.

The leg was taken to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston, Norfolk, to be examined by a pathologist.

The torso was also due to be taken to the hospital for tests.
