Youth mental health figures in spotlight

Changes Young People Services
The charity offers support groups for 11 to 25-year-olds

One in four young people in Stoke-on-Trent have mental health problems, according to a charity in the city.

Changes Young People Services runs support groups for 11 to 25-year-olds in the area.

A total of 12,500 local young people will suffer from mental health problems this year, it said.

The charity, which is run by people who use the service, is working to tackle any stigma surrounding mental illness.
