Police campaign against poaching

Landowners across Staffordshire are being urged to report any signs of deer poaching to police.

Officers said they wanted to hear of any sightings of injured animals, deer snares or damaged fences.

Staffordshire Police said specially-trained officers were regularly patrolling areas such as Cannock Chase and Bury Bank in Stone.

Insp Carl Humphries said poachers were often involved in other types of "serious and organised crime".
