U-turn woman sought after crash

Police have said they want to speak to a female driver who stopped after a fatal crash, then did a U-turn and drove away in the opposite direction.

The body of a 40-year-old man was found close to his Volkswagen Sharan on the A38 near Branston, by Burton-upon-Trent in Staffordshire, on 31 October.

The man was thought to have died when his car left the road. No other car was thought to be involved.

Officers said they wanted to find the woman driver as "a matter of urgency".

They said the woman had stopped at the scene of the incident, then did a U-turn through a legal gap in the central reservation and drove away.
