Rivers being restocked with fish

Stretches of the rivers Trent and Tame badly affected by recent pollution incidents are being restocked with thousands of baby fish.

Young chub, dace, roach, bream and barbel are being given a new home in the River Trent, downstream of Stoke and close to Burton.

Many more will be released into the River Tame.

The Environment Agency has said heavy storms led to pollution, caused by water runoff, entering the rivers.

The River Tame runs through lakes in the Birmingham area.
