Crews monitor factory fire site

Firefighters are monitoring the site of a glue factory in Staffordshire where a fire burned for more than 24 hours.

About 50 firefighters tackled the fire which broke out at RA Wood Adhesives in Wolverhampton Road, Longford, Cannock, just before 2100 GMT on Thursday.

A service spokeswoman said the fire had been extinguished but two crews were monitoring the scene.

An investigation into the cause of the fire was under way. It was not believed to have been started deliberately.
