Glue factory fire still burning

Crews are still tackling a fire at a glue factory in Staffordshire nearly 24 hours after it started.

Crews were first called to RA Wood Adhesives in Wolverhampton Road, Longford, Cannock, just before 2100 GMT on Thursday.

At the height of the fire, 50 firefighters were tackling it.

Fire investigators said they were unsure as to the cause but said they did not believe it was started deliberately.

Fire chiefs urged people living nearby to close their windows and doors as a precaution but said the smoke from the factory was not thought to be dangerous.

Crews were expected to remain at the incident through Friday night and into Saturday.
