Display celebrates author's work

Works, essays and guide books relating to author JRR Tolkien have gone on display in Staffordshire.

Penkridge Library is hosting a celebration of all things relating to the author until Monday.

The writer, who penned The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, spend periods of his early life in Staffordshire, in particular at an army camp in Cannock.

Staff believe references in some of his work relate to Cannock Chase and Shugborough Hall, near Stafford.
