An image of a getaway vehicle has been issued by police one week after an armed robbery at a bank in Stoke-on-Trent in which two women were injured.

Three men carrying metal bars and axes entered a branch of Lloyds TSB in The Strand, Longton, at about 1400 BST, on 2 July, police said.

They made off with less than £950 in a stolen grey Seat Leon, which was later found abandoned in Foley Road.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

It is thought the women suffered only minor injuries but needed hospital treatment.
