Parts of Staffordshire were flooded in July 2007

Health, council and emergency service leaders have drawn up a plan to tackle future flooding in Staffordshire.

Parts of the county, including Fazeley and Elford, near Lichfield, Burton-on-Trent, Stafford and Kidsgrove were flooded after heavy rain in July 2007.

The county's civil contingencies unit compiled the action plan.

Its aims include holding regular training exercises to keep the skills of the emergency services up-to-date in dealing with flooding incidents.
