Sail charity wins boathouse bid

A sailing charity has won its appeal to build a boathouse in Staffordshire.

Sailability appealed after Staffordshire Moorlands District Council said it could not put the building at Rudyard Lake.

The inspector found in favour of the charity which helps disabled people to sail.

District planners said the beauty spot was subject to greenbelt controls while county highways officials were concerned about vehicle access.
