Slippery conditions at Staffordshire's V Festival led to people injuring themselves, ambulance staff have said.
Rain at Weston Park over the weekend led to at least nine people going to hospital with fractures and dislocations.
One man was airlifted to hospital for surgery to a broken jaw.
Officers made 74 arrests, two less than last year, mainly for drugs offences. One man was arrested for having a number of fake passes.
Slips and trips
A decision to open the site earlier than last year meant less congestion on the roads, a police spokesman said.
Medical staff said they were kept busy treating people for various injuries.
A total of 23 people were taken to hospital.
West Midlands Ambulance spokesman Steve Wheaton said: "The heavy rain over the weekend has made conditions very difficult.
"The slippery conditions meant many of the incidents dealt with were slips, trips and falls."
There were a number of cases of people suffering from drug and alcohol overdoses, he added.
Muse and The Prodigy brought the show to a close on Sunday.
