Man denies stabbing wife to death

The husband of a 26-year-old woman found stabbed to death at her home has denied murdering her.

Sarah Richardson's body was found in Lyndhurst Drive, Brown Lees, Staffordshire, on 12 May.

Her husband, Edward Lawrence Richardson, 41, of Mayfield Road, Biddulph, pleaded not guilty to her murder at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.

He will now face a trial in January 2009. Mrs Richardson had worked as a hairdresser in Sandbach.
