Greg Baker's body was discovered at his cottage in Alton

The jury in the case of two men and a woman accused of murdering a disabled man to inherit thousands of pounds have retired for a second evening.

Shane Edge, 21, of Cliveden Place, Longton, Staffs, denies suffocating Greg Baker, 61, with a pillow.

Mr Baker's carer Thelma Purchase, 44, and her son Lance Rudge, 20, both of Sherwood Road, Meir, Stoke-on-Trent, also deny murdering Mr Baker.

He was found dead last June at his cottage in Alton.

The court previously heard how Mrs Purchase, of Sherwood Road, stood to inherit £60,000 in his will but she has denied knowing about this prior to his death.
