Car park replaced in £25m scheme

A car park is set to be replaced by buildings in a £25m scheme in part of Stafford.

A new county council building will make up about 90% of the site on Tipping Street with the rest becoming business offices and shopping facilities.

Developers Modus and Stoford have been chosen for the project, which is a "key part" of the town centre regeneration plan, the county council said.

The development will be "a model of environmental design", it added.
