Injured man suspected of murder

A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman.

Sarah Richardson's body was found at her home address in Lyndhurst Drive, Brown Lees, near Biddulph, Staffordshire, on Monday.

A post-mortem examination showed the 26-year-old married woman died from stab wounds.

The arrested man, from north Staffordshire, had been treated in hospital in Cheshire but has now been taken into custody in Stoke-on-Trent.
