Support officers to take to beat
Fourteen new police community support officers (PCSOs) are to hit the streets of Staffordshire after completing four weeks of classroom training.

The PCSOs will join police officers next week for the community-based part of their training, before moving into their own neighbourhoods areas.

Half of the new recruits are heading for the streets of Stoke-on-Trent.

Six of them will work in areas of the Chase Division, and one is joining the policing team in Tamworth.

The Chase Division covers Stafford, Stone, Cannock, Rugeley, Penkridge and Wombourne.
