Pottery backstamp mosaic unveiled
Thousands of fragments were used in the piece

A mosaic made up of pottery backstamps has been unveiled in Stoke-on-Trent.

Called "Made In England", it is a celebration of the Potteries' ceramics industry and history and is on show at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.

Artist Emma Briggs asked BBC Radio Stoke listeners to donate plates cups, and crockery for the piece, which contains thousands of fragments.

Potters in the area have traditionally used a backstamp to identify their produce.
