Karl Hinett would like to return to active service
An 18-year-old soldier who had a third of his body covered in severe burns after a petrol bomb attack in Iraq is taking part in the London Marathon.

Karl Hinett, from the Staffordshire Regiment, is raising money for the Royal British Legion to say thank you for support he had during his recovery.

He said: "I thought (it) was really nice so I'm giving a little bit back."

Mr Hinett, from Tipton in the Black Country, has had many operations since being injured in September 2005.

He would like to return to active service in an ideal world.
