Bus crashes into terraced house
Crash scene
It is thought the bus skidded on ice
A bus has ploughed into the front of a man's home in Tamworth, causing serious damage to the front of the house.

Owner Adam Chamberlain was woken from his bed by the crash early on Tuesday morning when the Arriva bus smashed into his living room.

The vehicle had just driven out of the bus depot opposite in Aldergate, and it is believed it skidded on ice.

The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries but no-one else was hurt, Staffordshire Police said.

Neighbour Barry Snow said: "I've just walked into the living room and seen the state of it.

"The bus has actually hit the whole area of the front of the house. It is like somebody planted it there.

"I feel sorry for the man who has got the house. He has to book into a hotel next door."
