Charges over fatal family crash

The Staffordshire family were returning to Lichfield from Brittany
A 60-year-old man has been charged with causing the deaths of four family members in a road accident.

Malcolm Dowling, 46, his wife Janice, 42, and their children Richard, 16, and George, 11, died in the A34 crash near Bicester in Oxfordshire on 31 July.

The Staffordshire family had been returning from holiday at the time.

Ian King of Groby, Leicestershire, faces four charges of causing death by dangerous driving and appears before Banbury magistrates on 22 January.

The family had been returning to Lichfield from Brittany.
