Man hurt in security van robbery
A security van driver has suffered head injuries in a robbery carried out by a group of masked men in Stoke-on-Trent.

Three or four men attacked the victim as he was getting out of the Group 4 van outside the NatWest bank in Longton Road on Tuesday morning.

They grabbed a cash box and made off in an unknown vehicle, police said.

The driver was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire but the van passenger was not injured in the incident near to Barlaston Old Road.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Stoke-on-Trent police or Crimestoppers.
