Flat death treated as suspicious
Police are investigating the suspicious death of a man whose body was found in a house in Stoke-on-Trent.

They were called on Thursday night by the family of Peter John Summers, who had not contacted them in some time.

Mr Summers, aged 35, was found in an upstairs bedroom of a flat in Squires View in Shelton where he was staying. He had suffered head injuries.

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Grant said police wanted to establish the circumstances of Mr Summers' death.

He said: "In particular we are trying to build up a picture of Mr Summers' movements, his recent comings and goings, his history and associates."
