Woman's car found at beauty spot

A major search has taken place for a woman after her car was found abandoned at a Staffordshire beauty spot.

Angela Cunningham's red Rover 400 was discovered at Ansons Bank car park at Cannock Chase after she went missing on Wednesday, 2 August.

Staffordshire Police and a mountain rescue team have searched the area but found no sign of the woman. Further searches are planned, police said.

The 48-year-old, from Cannock, was said to be depressed when she went missing.
