Robbie to help more county groups
Community groups in and around Stoke-on-Trent are being urged to apply for cash from Robbie Williams' charity.

Give it Sum has handed out £3m to local projects during its five-year history and wants to help more.

It is holding an information day at Vale Park on Thursday so people can find out how to bid for a grant.

Robbie's mum, Jan Williams, and Gilly Green manage the fund and are staging the information event to get more people to apply.

Karen Bowen, chair of the Townsend Residents Community Association which received £18,000, said it was not difficult to apply.

Robbie, who was born in Stoke-on-Trent, has raised funds for the charity he set up with the help of Comic Relief.
