Police and mountain rescue teams have been searching for a missing mother who has disappeared without trace.

Mother-of-one Angela Cunningham, 48, from Chadsmoor, Cannock, Staffordshire, was last seen more than a week ago.

The police helicopter is being used to scour Cannock Chase after her car was found parked at the beauty spot.

Police horses and dogs have been used in the hunt. They have found a hair band which they think was hers, but no other signs.

Det Insp Pete Wyatt said: "All we know is Angela parked her car on the Chase some time during the morning, a red Rover 206 5-door, and Angela's never been seen since.

"We've recovered the vehicle and we've been searching Cannock Chase."

Ms Cunningham's 14-year-old son is now being cared for by relatives.
