Campaigners plan to save church
Campaigners trying to stop a chapel being converted into offices are turning to the lottery for help.

Arts organisation Share wants to create a community centre at Etruria Methodist Church in Stoke-on-Trent.

The church stopped holding services just over a year ago after a fall in the number of church-goers.

Beta Hand, from Share, said if they have to buy the building to save it then they will need lottery funding to secure its future.

Since the church stopped holding services it has been used for one-off events like musical performances, poetry recitals and plays.
