Boy arrested in party rape probe

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of raping a girl at a village party, police have said.

The 14-year-old girl, from the Staffordshire Moorlands, is alleged to have been attacked at a youth party at Alton village hall, near Cheadle.

More than 150 people are thought to have attended the event on Saturday.

Staffordshire Police say the boy, who has not been named, is from Derbyshire. He has been released on police bail.

The investigation into the alleged attack is continuing.
