Police door knocking in campaign
Police in Staffordshire are knocking on people's doors to check if they are secure enough against burglars.

Officers have been carrying out a county-wide operation checking to see if residents have locked their doors and windows even if they are at home.

The campaign follows a recent spate of sneak-in burglaries in the area.

Leaflets are being distributed warning of the dangers of opportunist burglars and officers are also advising on the best ways of securing property.
