Two accidents on the M6 and M6 toll motorways have caused long queues of traffic in Staffordshire.
Eight cars were involved in a pile-up on the M6 Toll at Weefordon Tuesday morning when a car spun into the middle lane after colliding with a lorry.
The northbound carriageway of the M6 was closed shortly afterwards when two cars hit the central reservation between junctions 12 and 13.
In total three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Two northbound lanes of the M6 toll were closed between junctions T3 and T4 for 40 minutes.
The second accident on the M6 caused all three lanes of the northbound carriageway to shut for about 90 minutes.
Both accidents caused tailbacks stretching to junction 10 at Walsall.
Further delays have been caused on the M6 after a heavy goods vehicle carrying 38 tonnes of beer overturned in Warwickshire.
The lorry's contents spilled onto the carriageway closing two lanes northbound between junction one at Brownsover and junction two at Anstey.
The lanes are expected to stay closed for most of the day while a clean-up operation continues.
