No decision over fire-hit school
Fire scene
The fire at the school started in the boys' toilets
Council officials say they do not know when a group of special needs children will be able to return to school following a fire.

Sixty firefighters spent three hours tackling the blaze at the Meadows in Biddulph, Staffs, on Wednesday.

At least 60% of the building, which caters for more than 100 children aged between three and 18, was damaged.

The county council says it has had offers of other buildings, but has not decided on an alternative site.

Spokesman Richard Caddy said: "We have two priorities - to try to get the children back into education as soon as possible and, if at all possible, keep them together."

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
